This hand is a symbol of protection. I fell in love with it at the local import store and my baby sister and oldest daughter bought it for me.
Well, the house fairies did not visit, but my son and daughter did brave an irritated mom, irritated because teen did not do her chores, and help clean up the night before my birthday. And all the kids surprised me with breakfast in bed.
I still haven’t heard from the agent but I’m hopeful.
My kids didn’t get along all day, but they gave it a pretty good shot.
Not sure what the editor thinks yet of my edits… she hasn’t thrown them back at me and told me I ruined the short, so that’s a good thing, right? : )
And I’m still not in my size 4’s but hey, more to love.
What did happen:
My sister convinced me to read all day and that’s pretty much what I did.. on my new Sony. : ) That night, my sister brought dinner home so I wouldn’t have to cook and, bless her heart, she tried to throw a surprise party for me. Okay, that needs further explanation. After dinner I went into my room to write a blog. A few minutes later, my 8 yo walks in and says, “Soooo, what is your favorite football team?”
Warning bells. : )
I turned to her, smiled and said, “Sweetheart, if you’re supposed to keep me in here, it’s okay, I’m not going anywhere for a bit.” She said okay and walked out. A few minutes later she comes back in. “I’m supposed to stay in here anyway.” : )
So I’m almost finished with the blog and my sister calls me into the dining room. When I go, my other sister, niece and nephew, mom, and oldest daughter are there with presents and cake. Yummy cake. and um presents.
All in all it was a great birthday.
The kids made me this cup. I love it!
Thank you for all your well wishes.
Don’t you love that Sony? I knew you would. Your man is a sweetie. Love the gifts!
